I am a firm believer that ongoing education is essential to personal success, and I spend a lot of time making sure I am current in all matters relating to real estate. I have listed the designations and certifications I’ve earned throughout my career. Each designation requires a significant investment of time, effort, travel, and expense.  Each one demonstrates my dedication to ongoing training and expertise, ensuring that I can provide you with advanced knowledge and experience in real estate. These qualifications empower me to protect your biggest asset and negotiate on your behalf. They go well beyond the required continuing education requirements for my industry. Realtors, like physicians and professors, have advanced studies and degrees. We acquire specialized certifications and industry accreditations through rigorous courses, exams, and performance standards. When you see a string of initials behind a realtor's name, it signifies their commitment to professional growth and delivering high-quality service. They have dedicated time to advanced educational courses and rigorous examinations to earn these designations. 

 

Graduate Realtor Institute-GRI

This designation is awarded by state associations to members of the National Association of Realtors who have successfully completed a predetermined course study of at least 90 hours of specialized real estate courses, covering a variety of subjects including contract law, professional standards, finance, and risk reduction. It designates agents who have committed to providing a high level of professional services by securing a strong educational foundation. In addition, these designees have learned the fundamentals of brokerage and other areas of real estate specialization. With this designation and through increased awareness of current topics important to real estate professionals, such as legal issues, Realtors can better serve prospective clients and customers. GRI designees have committed to providing a high level of professional services to their clients. A Realtor who possesses the GRI designation has not only completed a course of study required by the program but also subscribes to the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Realtors. With this designation, I have received additional training in many areas of real estate to better serve and protect my clients. This sets me apart from other agents because it indicates to the public that I have obtained a professional educational foundation on which to base the services I provide. Less than 50% of agents have this designation.

 

Master Certified Negotiation Expert-MCNE

One of the top designation courses in real estate is the Master Certified Negotiation Expert. This course is designed to help real estate agents increase their negotiation and persuasion skills and achieve better results for their clients. The MCNE helps me create better outcomes and achieve better results for my clients that are far above average. Using these valuable techniques also helps me win more listings, close more transactions, and earn more repeat and referral business. 

 

Resort & Second-home Property Specialist-RSPS

Acquiring a second home has grown in popularity over the last few years and savvy buyers and sellers demand the expertise of a Realtor with proven knowledge of resort and second-home market conditions. I’m able to help facilitate buying, selling, development, retirement, property management, or second home transactions all along the beautiful Emerald Coast. One of the core requirements of the RSPS certification is the RLI Tax-Deferred (1031) Exchange course. Through this course, I’ve gained an understanding of how the rules governing 1031 tax-deferred real property exchanges are applied and how these transactions are put together. I can recognize and evaluate situations in which a 1031 tax deferred exchange could be to my client’s advantage, and I can work with intermediaries and other experts to structure these transactions.

There’s a great deal to consider when buying and selling a house. Understanding how the price of your potential home is determined will help you make the smartest (and best) investment. That’s why you need a Realtor who is a Pricing Strategy Advisor. Working with me adds valuable perspective to your transaction while taking the guesswork out of pricing.
